2014 William M Gemar

R.I.P. William M Gemar 8/9/26 - 11/16/13 My father died of a heart attack. Dad was born in Lincoln, NE but was raised primarily in Arkansas City, KS. He served in the U.S. Army as a broadcaster for AFN in Germany. After his discharge from the Army, he continued as a radio newscaster at several stations around the country, ending up at KGWA-AM in Enid, OK. He worked there until the early 70's, when he left radio to serve as Director of P.R. at St. Mary's Hospital. He later became a "Land Man" (negotiating lease holdings for oil and gas companies) until he retired. Bill has lived in San Diego, CA for approximately the last 12 years. Bill is survived by his sons Lenny (Coeur d'Alene, ID) and John (Las Vegas, NV).
