2013 ParaSailing in Coeur d'Alene and Dining in Porthill, ID

7/26/2013 - Claire's vacationing down in San Diego, and I don't want to just sit around the house by myself, so I decided to have a little good, clean fun. Made a reservation with Coeur d'Alene Parasail and Watersports to get up above it all. 7/27/2013 - A leisurely Saturday drive up to the Canadian border landed me in Porthill, a border crossing hamlet. With a population of around 70 people, I'm not sure that it qualifies as a town. Since I hadn't eaten lunch yet and I arrived around 3:30, I figured I'd stop for a bite in the only eatery that I saw, Big Daddy's Bar and Grill. Recently opened from remodeling just two weeks ago, they serve a Saturday special after 4:00 pm of smoked pulled-pork BBQ. It was yummy, and the staff and locals were all real friendly. It made for a nice little day trip.
