2022 Guimaras Vacation
5/19/202 - 5/22/2022
Claire and I took a short vacation to the Guimaras annual Mango Festival.
Day 1 had us checking in to the California Coral Beach Resort.
On day 2 we visited the Festival and then hiked up to Guisi Lighthouse.
As Internet access was glacial or non-existent at Alubihod Beach, and the cable TV reception was poor, I spent the evenings serenading my bride on the balcony or in our room on my guitar. Good times.
Day 3 took us to the San Lorenzo Wind Farm. It wasn't as large as Tehachapi or Altamont, but it was certainly enough to provide power for Guimaras. We then returned to the Mango Festival to buy 44 kilos of mangos to take home.
On Day 4, we grabbed breakfast at Reymen Resort (next door to ours) then caught the RORO ferry from Jordan back to Iloilo. It was a fun mini-vacation and it was nice to get out and do things.
